Come as you are. Dress as is comfortable for you. You will notice everything from "church clothes" to "office casual" to jeans and sneakers.
Please see an usher as you enter and he/she will offer you a worship bulletin. The sanctuary is fully wheelchair accessible. Large print bulletins and assistive listening devices for those with visual or hearing impairments are available -- please ask the ushers.
The service bulletin includes the day's scripture readings, hymns and announcements of upcoming events. Our service normally lasts under one hour, not including holidays or special events. The music and service style are somewhat traditional, but using the newest hymnals, with some old classics mixed in. There are visitor cards in the pew racks for those who would like to make their presence known, or have their communions reported to their home congregation.
Please know that kids of all ages are free to take part in our Sunday School classes at 10:15 a.m. (between services). Parents who love their children as much as you love yours run our children's ministry. There are classes for every age, beginning with age 3, to preschool, to high school.
Each week we include the collection of an offering as part of the worship service. Those committed to Jordan will place their offerings in the plate as it is passed. We believe that the support of the ministry of the church is the responsibility of those committed to it. As our guest, we don't want you to feel any obligation to give. However, if you would like further information about our ministry, please fill out a visitor card and place it in the plate (basket).
From September thru June, we welcome members and friends to stop by the Memory Room for coffee and snacks after each service. Feel free to stick around and meet some members of Jordan.
