As we begin to gear up for fall, Jordan Lutheran Church celebrates all that God has given to us. There is much to be joyful about including our 290 years of Lutheran heritage and ministry. We look forward to many additional years of vibrant ministry for our members and those in our community and beyond!
While we rejoice for all that has happened so far this year, we also want to look to the future, being good stewards of all that God has provided. As you may know, we have spent the past year discerning the current priority needs of our church facilities. Our building, while just bricks and mortar, allows us the opportunity to offer a safe and secure place to worship and offer our many ministries and programs.
Prior to moving forward with any campaign, it is important for leadership to hear from each of our households. As such, the next step is a feasibility study. It is through this process that a plan will be developed to address priority church projects. So that your input can be received in an organized, timely, and fruitful fashion, we are blessed to be collaborating with Richie Musser, Jane Elliot and Ric Elliott of Kirby-Smith Associates, whom many of you met on Sunday, August 18th. Your input is essential to this process! Richie, Jane and/or Ric will be reaching out to ask for your valuable feedback. You will be able to arrange to meet with them (sign up link below) via phone, Zoom, or in person.
Additionally, a short survey was mailed to each household. It is also available online (link below). We would be grateful if you could complete this survey (online or the paper version) to be submitted or returned in the envelope provided by September 22, 2024.
In closing, we ask for your openness to this process, for your faithful stewardship, and—most importantly—for your prayers: please pray that the Lord will continue to guide and bless our ministries here at Jordan Lutheran Church! Journeying together in the love of Christ. God's Blessings, Rev. Dody S. Siegfried
